An artwork by Stan Manoukian
A familiar tale, a singular presence. With Little Red Riding Hood, Stan Manoukian invites us to rediscover the world of fairy tales through his own artistic universe, where wonder meets the uncanny.
Available exclusively from French Paper Art Club, this edition is presented in an impressive large format of 55 × 100 cm. These generous dimensions give the drawing room to unfold, inviting a closer exploration of its details and lending the artwork a striking presence when framed.
An intimate edition limited to 20 copies, each hand-numbered and signed by Stan Manoukian. The small edition size and generous format make this a distinguished addition to the collections of the artist's admirers and lovers of fantastical drawing.
Special hand-embellished edition
Alongside the edition of 20 copies, a special edition of just 3 copies features a personal intervention by Stan Manoukian: the artist embellishes the figure of Little Red Riding Hood by hand with red paint.
Applied by the artist to each print, the colour brings an additional dimension to the artwork. The reproduction is enriched by the artist's own hand, with each copy bearing the trace of that gesture.
An exceptional format, a rare edition, a world of imagination to collect.
Born in Paris in 1969 and trained at the Estienne School of Art, Stan Manoukian began his career in comics, film and advertising, working in France and the United States. Drawing inspiration from retro science fiction, monster movies and the writings of Poe, Lovecraft, Mary Shelley and Jules Verne, he has developed a world where fantasy meets an abundance of natural forms.
In 2007, he set himself the challenge of drawing one monster a day for a year. This exploration became the starting point for an extensive bestiary, notably celebrated in his 2019 monograph Zoologia. Following in the tradition of Gustave Doré, Franklin Booth and Bernie Wrightson, his hatching and interplay of light and shadow lend ink and graphite the depth of an engraving. His work has been exhibited in Europe, the United States, Japan and Australia.
