Laurent Durieux’s La Double Exposition marks a rare encounter between the world of Blake & Mortimer and his retro-futurist imagination.

An internationally acclaimed Belgian artist, known for his work as a poster artist and illustrator &mdash particularly in the field of alternative film posters &mdash Laurent Durieux has a very distinctive ability to convey an era, a tension and a narrative within a single image.

In this adventure written by Sonja Shillito and James Huth, based on the characters created by Edgar P. Jacobs, Francis Blake and Philip Mortimer are drawn into a miniature world, trapped inside a futuristic city inspired by the Futurama of the New York World’s Fair. Miloch, Septimus, Voronov and a multitude of Olriks form a strange theatre: scientific, unsettling and wonderfully retro.

French Paper Art Club presents a selection of fine art prints from this album: ultra-limited edition pigment prints, numbered and signed by Laurent Durieux. A series conceived for collectors of comics, contemporary illustration and images with a strong graphic presence.
