The Secret of the Swordfish

Part 1 - A story from Tintin magazine

To celebrate the 80th anniversary of Blake & Mortimer, French Paper Art Club presents an official collection of fine art prints featuring the covers of the Tintin magazine editions published by Dargaud.

On 26 September 1946, readers of the very first issue of Tintin magazine discovered the opening page of The Secret of the Swordfish. Edgar P. Jacobs laid the foundations of the world of Blake & Mortimer, creating one of the great works of Franco-Belgian comics.

With the world on the brink of all-out war, Captain Francis Blake and Professor Philip Mortimer attempt to keep the plans for the Swordfish out of enemy hands. This revolutionary invention could change the course of the war.

This pigment fine art print reproduces the cover of Part 1 in its Tintin magazine version. Printed on fine art paper, it is offered in a 30 × 40 cm format in a limited edition of 50 hand-numbered prints. Each print also features exclusive blind embossing, applied with an embossing press and specially created for the 80th anniversary of Blake & Mortimer.
