Liorzh × Blumoo

Liorzh

Experimental Collaboration Vol. 2

Liorzh invites Blumoo

With Experimental Collaboration, Liorzh continues a series of fine art prints based on a simple idea: bringing together two visual worlds, two sensibilities, and two distinct ways of building an image.

For this second volume, he invites Blumoo, a designer and illustrator from Lima, Peru, whose visual universe combines bold geometry, psychedelic energy, vibrant colors, and a vintage spirit.

Liorzh invites Blumoo - Experimental Collaboration Vol. 2

A four-handed artwork

Liorzh first discovered Blumoo’s work about three years ago and immediately recognized a strong creative affinity with his own universe: a shared taste for complex geometric compositions, surreal imagery, rich grain, and bold color palettes.

Throughout 2023, while Liorzh was deeply immersed in designing concert posters, he noticed that Blumoo and he were often working for the same artists and bands. Inviting him to collaborate quickly felt like a natural step: a meeting between two creators sharing the same graphic energy, while keeping enough differences to create a real visual tension.

The final piece was born from this exchange. It preserves the structural strength of Blumoo’s initial drawing, while integrating the volumes, light, and textures developed by Liorzh. The result is a shared image, both minimal and immersive, where geometry, color, and depth interact with fluidity.

1 + 1 artists: one shared artwork, imagined as a meeting ground rather than a simple addition of styles.

The process

Creation process - Liorzh and Blumoo
Blumoo initiated the piece by creating a purely line-based structural composition, without color or texture. From this powerful graphic foundation, Liorzh integrated his digital airbrush techniques and explored different color palettes to set the mood. The image then returned to Blumoo, who added his final touch through reliefs, gradients, and finishing details.

Why this collaboration?

From their very first conversation, the excitement was mutual. The two artists took time to explore their stylistic similarities and differences, exchanging references and ideas until a shared vision began to emerge.

The collaboration unfolded through a back-and-forth process: a structure imagined by Blumoo, color and texture developed by Liorzh, then a final intervention by Blumoo on reliefs and transitions. Step by step, the artwork evolved through a fluid dialogue between two visual languages.

This piece brings together what connects both artists: a love of composition, the immediate impact of color, graphic precision, and a sense of visual travel between abstraction, space, and psychedelic imagination.
