About the image

In Maison Croâ Croâ, a young man breaking away from a heavy everyday life sets off for a walk on a beautiful spring day. In the foothills of the mountains, a red leaf suddenly appears and lands at his feet. As he tries to catch it, he is led towards a strange place: a dried-up lake covered with grass, then the Maison Croâ Croâ, a laundromat adorned with a majestic frog’s head.

In this composition, Davide Tosello turns this moment of transition into a large graphic scene. The red leaf guides the eye, moves across the panels and connects the characters to the monumental presence of the blue mask. The clear sky, red foliage, moving branches and soft colours create an image that is at once narrative, poetic and spectacular.
