POP DISTRICT: The Art Of Tim Doyle

From Springfield to Tatooine

About the exhibition:

UNREAL ESTATES COME TO PARIS !

You probably know Tim Doyle. This brilliant Texan artist, former artistic director of Mondo, is a renown artist of the gig poster and alternative movie poster scene. From his Nakatomi Print Lab, he’s been screen printing many of his artworks, as well as fellow talented artists from all around the USA.

Tim has made himself a name thanks to his Unreal Estates series, solo art shows at the San Francisco based Spoke Art Gallery. Tim’s Unreal Estates are his own artistic visions of the many cult places from pop culture, from TV, movies or cartoons. From the Simpsons’ house to the Skywalker’s farm on Tatooine, from Seinfeld’s bar to the de Game of Thrones’ Red Keep or the Futurama heroes headquarters, Doyle knows all those places, and bring us there with ho through those beautiful screen prints.

After 3 solo shows at Spoke Art Gallery, it was about time to show in Paris ! Well guess what ? The French Paper Gallery will host, from october the 12th to November the 5th, “Pop District“, an art show entirely dedicated to the art of Tim Doyle .

More than 50 screen prints will be exposed and available as limited and numbered series. Some of them will also make it online on French Paper Art Club.

Pop District is THE rendez-vous for any pop culture lover in Paris !
